Bobbi started writing when she was eight years old. Her early works included short stories about Freckles, her three legged dog, and swimming in the icy creek down the road from her home in Owego, N.Y. Much of her writing still draws on real life experiences. Friends and family frequently note similarities in experiences shared by them and those of her fictional characters.
Bobbi is a former senior staff writer for a Washington, D.C. area newspaper and currently writes a monthly book review column for About Families Publications. Her short stories appear in the Chicken Soup for the Soul and Cup of Comfort Anthologies. Her first book for young readers, Storee Wryter Gets a Dog, pulblished by Tate Publishing is now available in print and ebook form. She is currently refining her first novel length book, a creative nonfiction work based on her seven years as an in-home caregiver for a critically ill family member.
Bobbi is a long time member of Pennwriters, a national writers organization with over 500 members, serving two years as Pennwriters Annual Writing Contest Chair. She is currently on the Pennwriters Board of Directors as the Area 7 Representative, a position she had held for nine years. In 2010 she was proud to be named a Pennwriters Meritorious Service Award nominee. She is a frequent speaker at writing conferences and serves as judge for the annual Mom's Choice and Benjamin Franklin Book Awards.
In her capacity as Founder and Director of the Young Voices Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) educational nonprofit established to mentor young writers, she created he Young Voices Awards honoring books that Inspire, Mentor and/or Educate Readers of all ages. www.youngvoicesfoundation.org and www.youngvoicesawards.com
Bobbi is a self taught writer crediting a lifelong love of reading and the support of other writers with her success in a field she loves. She is a firm believer in the concept of Paying it Forward and since reading and writing are as much a part of her as breathing she wants to help as many aspiring writers as possible to achieve their personal writing goals.

Bobbi Carducci lives in Round Hill, Virginia with her husband, Michael. Together they established and serve as co-directors of the Young Voices Foundation, a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit created to mentor young writers across the United States. In 2006 Bobbi was named an Outstanding Women of Loudoun County for her work in career development. She is a member of the Loudoun County Medical Reserve Corps, trained to assist members of her community in the case of catastrophic medical emergencies. When not writing Bobbi enjoys the company of her family and friends, frequently inviting them to join her for a glass of wine and storytelling on the deck of her home overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.
